How To Style: The Chunky Knit

We’ve been all about knits this season. With AFI’s Mercedes Benz Fashion Week just around the corner, and with the weather still playing fairly cool, we can’t help but think this is gonna be a huge street style trend this season. Here are our favourite ways to style the look.

Textured Up: Your favourite knit paired with a comfy pair of boyfriend jeans look great any time of the year. We love it styled with a statement heel in a textured print, along with super casual accessories. Choose a large tote with gold or silver accents to bring the look together.

Layer Play: An oversized knit paired with a mini is just everything! The contrast in layers is a great way to lead the eye around your oversized statement piece. Pair the look with your favourite ankle boots and throw on a super trendy, mini backpack and you’re ready to go!

Pretty In Pleats: Girly and cool all in one. Choose a thick pleat in your midi skirt to balance the chunk in your knit. Style it with a nude pump and a large clutch that matches your midi. We love it paired with a super basic ponytail and minimal jewellery.

Cocktail Party: A subtle knit paired with a fully textured skirt is a great way to style a smart-casual look. Go for a knit that gently compliments the hues in your skirt and pair it with strappy sandals. We’d totally go for a classic chain bag over the shoulder here.

City Chic: Thigh-high boots are more popular than ever and let’s be honest; they always look great! You can practically wear it with anything and it always brings a sassy ensemble together. Style your ultra-soft, extra-length knit over a short slip dress or with a long shirt and your favourite skinnies.
