Five Outfits To Ease You Into Winter

Temperatures have finally started to simmer down and we think it’s the best time of year  to express your love for layers, textures and rich colours. Taking inspiration from the best street style looks around, we can’t help but feel excited for the cold weather to rock our faux furs, chunky knits and classic coats.

All Cropped Up: Nothing beats a great cropped or short faux fur coat. Choose one in  an opulent colour like dark red, forest green or royal blue. It looks great paired with a damaged denim and a comfy pair of Chelsea boots. Throw on  your favourite, über dark sunnies and a great shoulder bag.

Midi Skirt Cool: You can never look out-of-place with a well-fitted midi. We love a tight midi paired with a tailored coat and platform tie ups like below, but try these styling tips if you’re looking for more eccentric ways to style your midi.

Sky-High Thigh High: The notorious thigh-high boot. Experiment with a gorgeous, flowy skirt or dress, layered with a basic cardigan and a satin bomber. Choose a clutch or structured handbag that matches your boots to round off the look. See how to style the look in detail here.

Shadey Long Coat: This is that one item of clothing that you wait for all year, just to pull out and strut on a cold Winter morning for breakfast with friends in Braamies.  It’s classic and never goes out of style. Invest in a top quality, woolen coat that you can pair with anything from your favourite skinnies, to maxi skirts and fitted minis.

The Chunky Knit: One of our favourite trends this season. The oversized, heavily textured, chunky knit is a must-have! It looks great paired with a slim fitted trouser and a pair of killer pumps, or styled with a classic skirt and ballet flats.
