Five Beauty Looks To Try This Autumn

With Winter just around the corner and the ocean breeze only a distant memory now, it’s a good idea to spruce up your beauty routine. These looks are all the inspiration and motivation you need to get you out of bed on chilly, dark mornings.  We’ve kept our eyes on Fashion Week trends and these are without a doubt our current faves!

Under Eye Glitter: Huge, and not only at festivals. Try it with a natural overall look – dewy skin, gloss and mascara is all you need.  Apply a dash of strobe cream under the eyes and gently press some glitter onto the skin with a small, flat brush or an angular q-tip.

Gothic Lips: Grey and black lips were seen at Acne‘s latest runway shows and the muted colour is great for this season. Experiment with super dark berries if you’re a little unsure, but swing by your favourite MAC store to see what their palettes have to offer. It looks great in a matte finish with a dab of gloss in the centre of the lips.

Candy Floss Fro’s: Oh the fro. Wunderkind, Jill Staurt and Sophia Webster had models coming down the runway with soft, fluffy curls with minimal curl definition. We love the look and it’s easy to maintain throughout the day. No heavy styling products here.

Ombre Shadow: We first saw the trend on hair and later lips, but it has finally infiltrated the eye-lid. Experiment with pastels for a day look, but don’t hold back creatively for evening galavants.  If you’re trying it out for the first time, go for  a darker colour closer to the eye and opt for lighter colours as you reach the outer lids.

Pin Straight Hair: So 90s. Use a anti-frizz product on towel dried hair and give your hair the best blow out you possibly can. Smooth over your locks with a straightener and you’re good to go. We love it paired with smokey eyes and natural, glossy lips.
