July is my favourite month of the year, because it’s my birthday month and this July is on fire, despite the fact that we are legit in the middle of Winter. With a strong focus on stylish events, our favourite not-to-miss event this month is the Turbine Art Fair. Here’s to a cosy July filled with all the fashion, art and culture events you need to attend.
Where To Go:
Featured Event – The Turbine Art Fair
In its fourth year, the fair is set to bring you new art, new talent and a fresh audience for a younger crowd wanting to introduce themselves to the art market – both as artist and collector. The Turbine Art Fair is an event sponsored by The Forum Company and hosted at the Turbine Hall in Johannesburg. Some highlights to expect during the fair is the Johannesburg Art Gallery’s attendance representing Diane Victor and Romantic Painter and Printmaker Fransico Goya. Visitors will also be able to view the solo exhibition by artist Sarah Biggs who won the TASA award in 2015. Get your tickets here and for any other info contact the Turbine Art Fair.
*Also, don’t forget to tag #TAF16 in all your social media posts about the Turbine Art Fair 2016 – let’s get it trending!
What To Wear:
We recently explored the muted print, patent leather and granny chic trends that are super hot for 2016 and will continue to be throughout 2017. If you want to look on-trend this July, experiment with midi skirts and pussy bow blouses, or your favourite patent leather skirt paired with edgy sequined accents and your favourite bomber. Don’t forget your oversized coat and you’ll be ready to celebrate July in style.
