Known as one of the most important people in fashion, street photographer; Bill Cunningham passed away earlier this week at the age of 87. The very influential street-style fashion photographer was known for his humble and wise approach towards the fashion industry, and apparently photographed up to 200 events per week at one stage in his life. Fashion gurus wanted to be photographed by him and as Anna Wintour says in a documentary about him, “it was death” not to be photographed by Bill. He might have been a loner at heart, but he will be missed by millions.
As a tribute to most definitely my favourite man in fashion, here is a selection of our favourite images caught by the legend, Bill Cunningham for The New York Times.
Read this great article where Bill chatted to Fashionista Online about the current state of the fashion industry.
